"God blessed me in so many ways with a wonderful family and a stable environment where education was encouraged.
I grew up not far from Crouse school, and know that many of the children in the area the school serves come from
underprivileged backgrounds and broken families. I feel that I was very fortunate to participate in the Akron Reads
program at Crouse to help, in my own small part, to give those children who may not have the opportunities I had the
chance to utilize their tutoring resource to help fill gaps in their learning experience. It is a small part, but these
small fundamental building blocks can help foster an environment to allow children to reach their life goals with a sense
of hard earned achievement. And when these students do achieve, maybe they will remember all the folks who gave their
time to help them, and give of their time to others who are perhaps less fortunate than they are."
